6/21/2023 0 Comments Ms access runtime 32 bit![]() So my suggestion would be that you switch to Access 2010 as it will cost you less to buy a copy of Access 2010 and use its free runtime instead of buying a MSDN subscription or trying to get your hand on a copy of the VSTO 2003 box. ![]() However, the runtime for both the Access 20 can be downloaded freely see: Office applications (any of them) of different bitness can not coexist on the same machine, so, as an example, you can't install office 365 64bit alongside Ms Access Runtime 32 bit Depending on how the ms Access db was developed you may not be able to run the 32bit db on a 64bit installation without some reengineering: eg. You can also get a copy of the Access 2003 Runtime with some of the MSDN subscriptions but I'm not sure wich level is the minimal level. This was a box with many things trown into it including a copy of Visual StudioĢ003 and both the Access 2003 Runtime and the Access 2003 Developer Extensions. It turns out that the issue may be much more widespread than just impacting the Microsoft Access Runtime download. It appears that there is an Access limitation of only being able to have one type (32 bit or 64bit) of Office products installed at one time and this is a Microsoft based limitation. ![]() Late this afternoon, this was confirmed by Microsoft. The Access 2003 Runtime is not the same as the Access 2003 Office Developer Extensions and to buy, you need to buy the kit Visual Studio Tools for Office 2003 or VSTO 2003. As reported by Access MVP Karl Donaubauer, Microsoft has fixed the support page, so the official download links are functional once again. No, to be used, the Access Runtime 2003 must be bought separately and cannot be downloaded freely.
